Boston Foodie Trip

I recently traveled to Boston for a short period of time and had such a great food experience that I wanted to share it! Boston is full of culture and amazing people which really made the experience so much better.

Town in the Square

I arrived in Boston pretty late on the first day and had a pretty bad migraine so I decided to order from UberEats. This is probably just my second time ordering from UberEats, because I usually cook when I am home or we go out to eat. There were so many options!!! I decided to order Honey Sriracha Cornflake Fried Chicken Tenders and Sweet Potato Fries. This meal was perfect. It was so good that I recommended it to Jarrell for lunch the next day, and we ended up going. Jarrell had the Chicken and Waffles and I had the Bayou Chicken Pasta. Both of our meals were great and we had no room for the desserts that looked amazing. I definitely recommend Town in the Square, specifically the North End location.

Arya Trattoria - North End

A little birdie told us to check out the family owned North End Italian restaurant, Arya Trattoria. This 2nd floor restaurant was jam packed with culture. It is a highly recommended restaurant and I totally understand why. The owner, Massimo, got us a table right by the window that looked over North End, it was amazing.

We ordered the Gamberi al Limone for one of our appetizers. Gamberi al Limone, was limoncello marinated shrimp with garlic, pine nuts, capers, and grilled salted lemon. We also ordered the award winning Boston’s Best Meatballs, Mamma Rosalie’s Meatballs. Both were so so good. The meatballs tasted homemade and the tomato sauce was amazing.

For my entree I ordered Rigatoni Amatriciana, rigatoni pasta prepared with house made pancetta, caramelized onion, and San Marzano tomato sauce. I am such a sucker for tomato sauce and rigatoni pasta. The pasta was homemade which made it extra special. Jarrell took the recommendation from the Chef and ordered the Baked Cavatelli con Salsiccia, handmade Cavatelli, sautéed squash and zucchini, homage sausage, and truffle cream. Truffle cream is not really my jam, but Jarrell loved his meal.

Even though we had no room for dessert, the owner told us that we had to try the Nutella Coconut Cheesecake. Once he described the cheesecake, I knew I had to try it, I can tell that Jarrell was a little hesitant since he is no Nutella fan. (Do not judge him, he eats it on crepes, but that is about it) The cheesecake was so good we took a few pieces to go.

Overall, the vibe at Arya was amazing. They played music, the food was amazing, the wine was perfect, and the service was so Italian, loved it. I definitely recommend Arya to anyone traveling to Boston.

Caffe Nero

When Jarrell leaves for his workouts in the morning on away trips, I usually always go on a walk and find some good coffee. Caffe Nero was about 5 minutes away from our hotel. I thought I discovered this amazing secret, but once I realized that there was one on every corner…I realized I did not. However, Caffe Nero is about 20 years old and is all over Boston. I had my usual latte with oatmilk. There were like a million pastries to choose from. The first day, the blueberry muffin was calling my name and then the next day I settled with a croissant. Both were amazingly delicious.

World Famous Regina Pizzeria

Our Uber driver recommended THE World Famous Regina Pizzeria. I LOVE pizza, especially Italian style pizza, thinking about it makes me want to order some. I was pretty excited to try Regina Pizzeria. They have a bunch of locations in Boston so at first I was going to go to the location closest to TD Garden before the game, but then I decided that was probably a bad idea. I ended up ordering for delivery from the original Regina Pizzeria. I ordered a 10” original pizza with roasted pineapples and pepperoni. The delivery did not take that long, but when I got my pizza it seemed like it had been sitting for awhile. The pizza sauce was great, which is a big deal for me. But when you allow pizza to sit for too long, especially Italian style, it loses it’s quality. I would rate Regina Pizzeria a solid 7.5 just because the potential was there. When I go back to Boston I will try it again, but I am going to actually go to the restaurant and sit to get the best quality pizza.

That’s it for my good eats in Boston! I was going to write about my entire trip but realized I ate more than I did anything. I hope you enjoy this post and comment with more Boston food suggestions!
